Disability Confident Committed

Disability Confident Committed

Moo Free Chocolates has always strived for equality in the workplace that’s why we can confirm that we are Disability Confident Committed.

Disability Confident Committed is a Government scheme put together to highlight which companies are enjoying the benefits of employing people with disabilities. The employer can search through a wider talent pool with a greater chance of finding a range of high-quality staff members who are skilled, loyal and hard working.

It also helps demonstrate the willingness of the employer to treat all employees equally and fairly with the intention of improving morale and commitment. As it stands almost 12,000 companies have made the pledge to be Disability Confident.

Currently, 20% of Moo Free Chocolates’ workforce is on the autistic spectrum some of which have come from organisations/programmes such as the Shaw Trust and Pluss.

As you may have seen last week, at the end of April we attended and contributed to The Twinkle Ball hosted by Paddy and Christine McGuiness which managed to raise £200,000 for the National Autistic Society.
